I have searched and called many places, but cant seem to find anyone who does corner balancing in Jacksonville, FL. Does anyone know of a place? I am trying to get the car ready for IFO. Thanks.

Mase maybe? Only person I can think of that might. There is a very simple and accurate way to use bathroom scales but being this is H-T the idea would just get bashed. I'll keep it to myself.

Edit: just had a thought. There is a small chance Brumos might do it. With their racing I'm sure they have a set of scales. Maybe they could work something through their service dept to do it

Bathroom scales are just as accurate as the digital scales.

How many bathroom scales that you can buy from bed bath are capable of 600-700lbs per corner?

You don't put the car directly on the scale. FYI, philstubbs above also mentioned using bathroom scales, we always used this method until we bought the long acre scales

Then enlighten me please, how do you weigh something without actually putting it on the scale?

IIRC you use some type of reverse leverage that lessens the load actually placed on the scale that is in a measurable percentage of the actual weight of the wheel. Ill see if I can find a picture of what I mean.

Found this using google. I am curious as to if the other people in the thread have a different way of doing tho though that doesnt involve constructing anything like that.

My method is a little classier and repeatable than this, but the basic idea is the same. A little math and its pretty accurate. Just buy 4 of the same scales so they are consistent.

Fabricate a fulcrum with a "see-saw" type platform for the tires to sit on that is x length away from the point sitting on the scale so that you can use a ratio to get the exact weight of the corners. Cheap and effective.

Ill try to dig mine out and take a picture.

FWIW they do make fairly inexpensive 700 lb scales.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...552&styleid=18

They wont do much good in a drag application for a car much over 2000 though.

Not to rehash the bathroom scale idea but we have done 4 scales per corner and just added the weights together. Used 2x4s as cribbing and cheap *** scales that were about $10 each. Worked in a pinch when the Proform scales took a **** and tech was being an *** and was not going to accept 0.1% over on the left side for anyone (circle track racing).
