Congratulations to Team Splitfire
Yesterday at the NCRA Sport Compact Nationals at St. Thomas Dragway, in Sparta Ontario Canada. Paul Bhawan from team Splitfire set a new Canadian Pro Compact ET and MPH record, as well as a personal best in the process. The new Canadian Record stands at 9.225 @ 162.53. Congratulations to Paul, and the Crew from Splitfire/JRP on this amazing news.
Also on an equally good note in the Pro Stock Class Bruno Gabriel from Team Autothority (SP?) set a new ET record as well. The new ET record stands @ 11.49
I know that some of these times don't compare to the counterparts in the US. But keep in mind that all of these are on very very small budgets, and neither of these cars has big sponsors. Also both cars were entirely in Canada with no outside support.
Of note as well, Marco Passante of Team Magnus Motorsports/Action Front Data Recovery Labs set a new personal best MPH with a broken lower control arm with a 9.85 @ 153 MPH in an AWD 2G Eagle Talon.
Congratulations to all Teams, and all drivers.

Some of them have been to US events. Paul and team splitfire have been to New Jersey a few times last year, and Marco and Team Magnus made quite a few IDRC events last year including texes (that one made ESPN actually) They all do fairly well down there
