This was my first night at the track ever. First two runs I couldn't get it into second so I cruised the rest of the way. Third and final run was like this:
60': 3.141
330: 7.372
1/8th: 10.885 @70.69
1000: 13.646
1/4mile: 15.764 @ 109.41mph
I launched in second because of the problems I was having earlier. I bogged horribly off the line, resulting in the 3.14. Put it in third and immediately blew the tires off, then went into 4th after some grinding (bad synchro). Because it took me so long to get it into 4th, I dropped below spool and bogged again. Then it took off like hell.
The time is described by others as comical. 15.7 @109mph, who would have thought. This run was at a bar on falkens. 40mph seems like a lot to pick up from the 1/8th to 1/4, so I know the power is there just need to get it to the ground.
Cliff notes: I suck at drag racing, lots of learning to do.

Don't worry too much, it's only your first time at the track. Once you get your tranny fixed and get some more seat time, you will improve incredibly. Make this a learning experience and never quit. I've made a ton of passes this season and it seems like everytime I go to the track, I learn something new. Good luck

sounds like one of my passes last week at the track, car popped out of 1st on the launch, crammed it back in first, spun tires, hit second, finally went. Had a 2.969 60' and ran 14.861 at 117.75 haha.
