Default chassis question

is there really any chassis hands down that much better than the others for drag racing? i mean it seems like to me that many guys have stepped away from the crx for other platforms over the years. is the reasoning behind this simply a newer chassis versus the dated crx? lately i have also saw numerous integras. so simply is there a truthful advantage to one chassis over another. such as theres more room here or more clearance for bigger tires or easier to put the desired suspension here. and it looks purdy is not a huge advantage over another chassis.

crx's are lighter but limited on space

integra's are much heavier, but have way more room for big turbo's, intercoolers, etc.

civics are kind of the happy medium between the two. then you have coupes and hatches. hatches are a bit lighter. i drive a coupe because they always say coupe in rap songs, and this way im that much closer to having gold teeth.

<smacks head> Joe, can i be in your next rap video?

Its all in the setup, the lighter the car the more you will be looking to put more weight in it to get traction at high high hp. As long as the chassis is setup correctly and is properly done any car is fesible to run fast..

Its like woman.. big frame or small.. your choice

from what i can see the integras are the most stable and can hook easier with higher power.

but that is just my observation. i just look at who is going the fastest in sfwd.

i can respect your observation, but i dont think its the car's that are doing the hooking up and going fast.......some of the guys driving the integra's can go fast in anything, and make anything fast. not to mention have some of the best maitnance schedules out there.

what some people dont realize is that some of the cars that are going fast dam near have pit crews that are hired just to work on the cars...... some of the teams replace bearings and over haul motors between every race. transmission swaps after qualifying and after eliminations isnt rare either. integra's def. have their advantages when it comes to room to work on the car, and i think they look badass. i want an integra.

no rap video's scheduled any time soon lol
