Can I make it to the 10's
Car: 97 integra GSR turbo dynoed at 509 whp / 329 tq.
Tranny :LS
Best time with 22x8x15 slicks: 11.36 @ 131.
The car spun until the 1/8 mile mark.
So I figured I needed more traction.
I tried 26x8.5 x 14 slicks .. best e.t: 11.64 @ 128
The problem is the long *** gears with the LS tranny, the problem gets a lot worse with the 26'' slicks
So, I have two choices : either I get a SiR tranny and keep the 26'' slicks or I go with 24 x 9.2 x 15 slicks and keep the LS.
What do you think ?

get a b16 trans with the tall slicks and go from there. a 25x8.7x13 will probably work best. what are you shifting at? what does the car weigh? with the proper setup 500whp should let you run high 10s.
I need 15 '' minimum because I got 11'' brakes.
I shift at 9000 rpm, on the balance the car weights 2660 without driver.
24'' slicks / LS tranny, or 26'' slicks / SiR tranny ?

You might try a MH 24.5x8.5x15..I believe they make that size. I would get a GSR tranny personally..

Thats on stock tires which are something like a 22 or so inch slick. Now throw on a 26" slick and the gearing is longer. I think with a 9K redline the gsr tranny will go out to 160's in fourth gear if i remember correctly. They have a tire/speed calculator out there somewhere for honda's. I forget the site.

Does anyone have the link to this site? I have done a few calculators that you need to enter in all the numbers which kind of sucks...but I have seen one that already has all the honda trannies in a dropdown box which is nice. Anyone know what site I am talking about?
