burnout
it's a noob question. i've always rolled through on the burnout because that's the way i was taught, but i never really thought of why it's the right way. so what's the reason?

If you are on street tires it is best to roll through the box since you wont really benefit from doing a burnout since they were not designed that way.. Many people also get the misconception to lower the tire pressure on street tires which too is also incorrect.. Since the will tend to fold up on the contact patch and you will get less traction..
If you get yourself some drag radials or slicks you want to do a burnout since the compound of the tire was designed to get hot and sticky..
Hope this helps

that wasn't what i was asking actually. i'm talking specifically of slicks. i do the burnout to get them sticky. what i was actually asking is why is it correct to roll through with the burnout instead of just keeping the car "parked". to be a bit more clear, you drive into the burnout box, pull up on the hand brake, drop the clutch and do the burnout. the correct way to finish the burnout is while still burning out, release the hand brake and roll out of the burnout box instead of just do the burnout and disengage the clutch while sitting still.
do your burnout and pull through the whole box becuase if you stop in the box and then pull out your tires will hit the water when you pull out and then slip when you launch
you shouldnt be doing your burnout in the water box anyways. pull onto the water and spin the tires once to get them wet, pull just past the water and do your burnout until it starts to drag the back then you can release the brake.

roll through the box, official will stop u at the very end/edge of the box, pull ebrake up, burn them bitches up, drop the brake while still burning out so u dont sit there stopped with water touching the slick, pretty much defeats the purpose of the burn out, u can see wat im talking about in the second video on my space
you want to release the brake while your burning out so when you launch, you luanch on fresh rubber you just put down, this will help with traction off the line
