Default burn out

how do i do a 4-5 second burnout without bouncing off the rev limiter? i'm going to be using drag radials next time i go to california speedway. do i do it in second gear? what 60' would i expect with a set of brand new drag radials(nitto 555r 205/50/15)? i'm hoping 1.9? my best was a 2.4 and pulled off a 14.7@97. i'm aiming for low 14's with these tires.

Second gear and just modulate the throttle. Don't slip the clutch.

Why do you want a 4-5 second burnout? You can heat them up just as good in half the time. I do short ones.

don't do the burn out in the water - just drive through water and stop as soon as you clear the water, then pull the e-brake - you will have enough water on the tires to get them spinning and heat them up - if you stay in the water, you will just cool them down when you get out of the throttle and end up with water on the tires which doesn't make for a very good launch.
i would do it in 1st gear - easier on clutch

put it in 2nd rev it up drop it once u get em spinning just get off the throttle when u get close to the redline.

and yeah, spin em a little in the water so ur tire gets a little water on the surface. dont burn out IN the pit itself

once u feel youve burned out enough let the ebrake go and let the car move forward and get off the throttle and youll feel them grab.

then stage

at least thats what i do.
