yeah its like 150 for a bellhousing to get sfi certified, or so it is for a v8 style bellhousing.

not a bad price if your really concerned about weight, but how long does it actually take to get a scatter shield installed and i am underweight already, 4 lbs is 4 lbs.

If it's 150 bucks, and saves me getting around a scatter shield all the time I'm all for it.

Eh, still stuff to work around in a hurry lol

I'll have to call SFI after the holidays and get some info on it. My housing is sitting around doing nothing for now.

haha alright ryan, keep us posted. on the super stock escort, we have to buy a 1/4" thick mild steel frisbee looking v8 bellhousings that we have to send in to get sfi approved for 150 then we have to modify it to fit the 2.3L motor. and as you know once you modify it, you cant get it recertified. so we buy a new one every four years and repeat the process.

and we are in the same boat for that car as well, there is a company that makes a billet aluminum bellhousing that they will modify it to your spec, but then you gotta send it in to sfi and hope wish and pray that they approve it, but if they approve this, you just gotta get it recertified every four years since it came modified to your liking already

If fuel stays down there might not be a bad turnout this season.

1. rules: we be unchanged at this time.

2: schedule: most of 2009 will be the same. boti is working on having a full schedule up asap. we are currently waiting on conf with a couple of tracks.

hope this helps.

Sounds good to me as long as the modified rules from 08 allowing VW vr6 into street stock and other street classes are included.

I know that BOTI tried to get a date for Route 66 this past year but was not able to get the date they were looking for due to some Monster truck event that was held there due to a rain out the year before..

hopefully this year it can come and if its at route 66 that would make it so much nicer. Ran that track a few time and its just great they prep it real well. I heard they might not be able to because route 66 is nhra only track so it might conflict with boti. But I remember couple of years ago it was here and it was a great turn out.

i dont see why boti cant post the dates which are already set w/ given tracks? then simply fill in the blanks when they hear from whoever they are still waiting on.

at least we could get our schedules started and plan for time away from work and family.

Your telling me you can't travel anywhere, even if the race is 4 months away?

Come race some IFO!
