Default b16 head porting

I am wanting to know about epoxy under the valve seat 1/4 or so to smooth the flow to the valve seat do the pros do this? I know it helps flow figures but is it worth the extra work?

I wouldn't do it. I would rather hurt the flow a little then have the epoxy come out
I use a epoxy called Pigs Putty seems to work very well but I wouldn't use anything that sees street duty

I use epoxy all the time ,mostly on drag and circle track motors , if the head is preped right u will have no problem with fall out in a reasonable amount of time .I've seen it last for 3-4 seasons in a set of heads with no signs of letting go.

your right if prepped right it should stay, I think it has gotten a bad rap from people whom don't know proper procedure, but in a race motor you can keep a better eye on it starting to come out because you are frequently taking it apart unlike a street motor, agree?
