anyone from florida.?
ive been thinking of moving from PA down to miami or somewhere in FL to open a import performance shop because the market in PA is complete garbage too many cheap stolen parts floating around for a legit business to stay up . so my question is. anyone from florida how is it down there as far as import scene and ppl willing to pay decent for tuning and parts and installs and all? is it good or not worth the move?

well parts arent my concern its just lack of funds in pa .. ppl are broke and every car almost is ghetto rigged and everyone thinks they are a mechanic so theres no point to opening in PA .. the funds arent a problem i already have someone who would split costs but i just wanna know how big the scene is down there and all .

and the difference between what you just described and florida is nothing - same deal down here
unfortunately florida isn't a magical land where cash grows on tree's, girls run around in their bikini's constantly, and the sport comact scene is so abundant that every shop open already gets $15k jobs weekly

Maybe you should focus on a different target audience or do some serious market research before packing up and leaving PA to head to FL. I would hope if you are serious about opening a shop in FL you would do more research then just posting on honda-tech and basing your decision off of that. That is a sure fire plan to fail.
If you want people with money you need to go after an older age group of people not kids that are working on their hondas and most of the people that are older and have money and mess with honda's know how to do their own work so you need to figure out a way to make those potential customers want to buy products from you vs going online and getting them cheaper.
BTW what do you bring to the table for this performance shop? Can you tune, fab, build motors, or do you just sell parts to kids?
