I'm running a twin fire with (4) of their pencil coils and it has been great.
I have tons of dyno, track and street miles on my car with ZERO issues.
A great ignition, and when you factor in the price, I don't see how it can be beat.
That said, I can't really answer you question, but just wanted to let you know that there ignition stuff is solid now.

I got it in 09.
I'm pretty sure there was a known problem with the early generation Twin Fires. I don't think that's a secret. The new ones seem to be solid.

Still don't know the diffrence from the M&w and the aem. From why I remember the aem has. Mor e volts and mj s ....I have ran AEM twin fire and never had a problem but I do have a newer box.
Yeah the old units from years back were not good and had malfunctions. Although AEM was always good about taking care of their customers but the new units (which i have as well) is great and they dont have the issues the old ones have. Again its AEM, they always take care of their issues for the most part.
Price cant be beat. I got mine for $200 shipped with all the harness and everything. You can get the installation instructions from online on aem's site.

so there is nothing i have to do to the aem ecu to be able to run cop? i have just seen a couple people have the v1 for sale and they said they had some mod done to it to run cop
If you got the frist v1 1000, 1010 ,1020or 1030 you got to send it to aem. To add some resistors if y ou got the 1040 and up you can opent it and doit your self pm for info
I have been using the twin fires for over 4 years and none ofg them stand up as well as the M&W boxes if you can swing the cash I would recommend using the M&W.They are also correct you will need to have the jumpers switched I had to do it on my 1030 box also.
