Abel Is Back
Abel just wrapped up some more testing at Irwindale tonight. Here are some unofficial times:
60' 1.02
330' 2.79
And this is with spinning the hell out of the tires.
And a footnote for the boost experts out there: the band-aid of using a wastegate on the charge piping has been officially replaced with a block off plate. The Synchronic wastegates are doing exactly what they were designed to do on the exhaust side

It had 3 Tial 44mm's on it previously
Please don't permeate this thread with your ignorance. Anyone who knows anything knows that every turbo pro drag car out there has a wastegate on the cold side, and eliminating it is significant.

Ok then... thanks for insulting me and not answering the simple question... I was just curious if you also eliminated some on the exhaust side.
How very professional of you.

My Bad twkd, I read it in a different light. Like: So it took 3 wastegates to get the job done
Answer: Nope, 3 wastegates still, the WG002 50mm. They weren't too big for the 2-step, but were actually flowing too much initially down the track and had to trim them back. It is a constantly evolving process and lots of WG related fine tuning to be done. But a change I made to the WG from the 2 tests prior was a big improvement. So, to the critics that say that wastegates just open and close, you need to have a more open-minded perspective on the subject.

Absolutely.
And there are a few more variables to tweak, just need to do some regression analysis on the raw data.

no one is being rude, actually it looks like a pretty calm conversation... so take a breathe there captain. cant people just be curious about abels car and the new results.
synapse... sorry if you got the wrong idea from my wording.

Pomona is what he's been building up to with all of these tests. He's trying to line up a full 1/4 mile test before Pomona, but the setup has been looking good and he's committed to being there.
