Default On that 9 second quest!

I originally had all the intentions of racing in FIS at IFO events. I have taken the car to most of the Florida Ifo events the past few years with out much luck. I have had a lot of little problems with things that I think held me back from doing better then I could have at Ifo so i switched from s300 to the series 2 and ditched the OEM wiring harness. Here is my new setup I plan to have ready in the next few months as of right now its mainly a collection of parts but I will keep this updated until I achieve that 9 second pass. Going to the 67mm has kicked me out of FIS but my plan is to run FWD or maybe test and tune or bracket. The best time so far in the car is a 10.80 @ 140 on a 6262. So looking to drop almost a second with all the new parts and more track practice.

keep pushing and it'll come. Going fast does not come easy if it was everyone would be doing it.

140mph on a 6262 suggests you hadn't quite wound it up to full potential?

What were the issues you had? I have the same turbo and I'm curious is all

The pic of you and your dad with the win is super awesome

I agree a 6262 can get in the 9's and be very competitive, 67mm fwd class has a lot of low 9 second cars.

Looks like some very nice parts though so it should be able to get in the 9's.

Trying to go faster is always fun but with the Honda platform more HP often isn't the answer.

Looks like you are having the same trouble I was having. You have the power by the looks of the mph but that 62mm can go 150+ it seems like you just need to dial the car in at the track. GL!

I agree, I am working as much as possible to fund this so i know 100% it takes alot of work and its not for everyone.

Well it made 667 on the 6262 on pump e85 and I was happy with that power, a lot of the issues I had, the car would run great on the dyno and my home track clicking 10s off no problem days before an IFO event. I would trailer the car with the help from my friend Jim and Will and get a hotel room spending a good amount of money thinking I can be competitive. Then I get to qualifying and the car would have issues Not running right up top putting me out of the race, I believe 100% the issues I had were the caused by two things My Wiring which was an 0em harness that was just old and modified a lot, and personally i think maybe the hondata s300. The picture with my dad was a really good time I had been going to a local monthly event and this was my 3rd time taking the win running a 7.0 at 109 or something like that and my first trophy haha.

Yea I was really into the IFO fis 62mm rule but I decided going with 67 will help me with my goal easier. Running FWD here in Florida will be really hard since we have 8 and 9 second cars at our events but thats also made me look at running the bracket class.

Yea I 100% plan on getting it dialed in with the AEM doing rear wheel speed, traction control and boost by ground speed.

A little update, after never thinking I would never switch from my integra shell I picked up a 93 cx hatch and will be swapping everything over today. I also picked up a 3pc front off of SFWD community on facebook, The next thing is to get a 10 point chromoly cage.

^Thanks. We got the front suspension moved over to the hatch from the integra, knock out the rear tomorrow, then Ive got to get the brake lines run, and get some fuse boxes installed, clean up the wiring, then get the swap in. Then I'll worry about getting the cage in and get some interior parts in, its completely bare on the inside.

i was going to ask what size those slicks were and whether or not you had issues with clearance with the suspension or fender..

^The slicks were 24.5x8, I didnt have a suspension clearance problem, but I did have to pull and roll the fenders a little bit for them not to hit.
