I was planning on going to the track this week to make the passes for it but was wondering
if you need your drivers licence or just your state ide?

 

first off, you need to be a member, and show member number and have to have the physical done first. or you cant even start to take your passes.

 

just your ID but you do need to be a nhra member. go to nhra.com and register its like 60.00

 

I'm all ready a member and i got my physical forum filled out by the doc! lol..

make sure you can find 2 people to sign off on your passes.

and if they bitch at you for not running a 9 like they did with me, you only need 135mph.

and have all your safety gear.

full face helmet
neck guard or hans
gloves
window net
multi layer pants and jacket.

 

My competion license is good to 2010 But my sportcompact membership is due 4/17/09. I have to continue my membership to keep my license? Cause I wasn't gonna.

 

steve when i got mine i was so low on cash i could only get a 1 year at that time, and IIRC they told me you do need your membership to continue your lisc. so in sept i have to re up membership.

 

I have my nhra number but the card will take 6-8wks, i joined last week, so will they let
me run with just my number or i need the card?

 

You can go to your your division office or call them and they will fax you temporary paper work until the card arrives.

they will fax you a temp. i used it to get mine you are fine.

 

You can get your lic. without a number. You just have to become a member when you send in your lic.

dont do this til you absolutely need to get certified and need to have you license. nhra loves free money. i plan to get kicked out before i take all these steps, but i do have all the clothes already. dont get the cage certified til you are running 135+. the clothes are ok to buy ahead of time because they do not expire at all.

 

Yea i've been kicked off the track countless times so i need to get this done.

 

i never got booted from my local track. only went 139 mph though. i had everything but the lisc all the time. never gave e town a chance to boot me, i had my credentials. i wasnt goin 100 miles out of the way to get tossed on the first run.

as long as you are on meds for that they will pass you, they did for me atleast he hee.

 

Yea i know how that feels, get one pass and they give you the boot! I hate that plus i
never get any seat time with the car that way, so ill never go fast.

 

Nooo thats my wife not me....lol. The doc told me i had big ***** when he was looking
at my nuts, so i said WHAT did you say doc, he said you have to, going that fast in a
car! lol!!!
