Steve, Karl, Gil, and the rest of the Bothwell team belong in Sport Compact, they have helped so many people even though some don't acknowledge it, they really do elevate the level of competition and are def. fun to watch, I look forward to seeing what they can do with a Honda! ohh man i'm gonna get my butt kicked by them but i know one thing i'll def learn a thing or two from it!

The car has the parts and people behind it...that is what Tony is saying.

Not true, from what I know. The Ecotec motor is being developed for naturally aspirated applications ( not specifically for sport compact drag racing ), and no car is being built yet. but what do I know </TD></TR></TABLE>

i dont think they could be all that competitive in ALL MOTOR....thats a totally different tiger versus hot rod and pro fwd. I would like to see them build one to get their assests handed to them...LOL

What makes you think they wont be competitive. It only takes about 330-350 to run the numbers some of the top dogs are running. How do you know they havent already made that kind of power.

Yeah, but 330-350hp from a 2.0l (122ci) would only be like 1350-1430hp if it were a 500ci engine. There is no way they could figure out how to make that much specific output or more, especially not on gas, with only 2 valves per cylinder, pushrods, at only ~10k max, and through a carb. &lt;cough&gt; Pro Stock &lt;cough&gt;

If GM is looking to jump into all motor, I'm sure they will do it with the intent to win.

thats the only class they have not entered into and possibly dominated.Oh as for Modified: I still place my bet on Dee but Brent Rau could change things up a bit considering he has been working on that car for a loooooooooong time and got it pretty dialed.

I talked to Brent a while ago and he was grafting on OEM front end parts to make it legal for modified.

The announcer for the NHRA Sport Compact Bruno Massel I think is his name is running a Cobalt four banger. It was featured on the cover of Racer magazine. He will be running as well and is already testing. I totally forgot about that one.
