Default 1st time at the track

I ran my 00 Civic EX last night at the 1/8 mile for my first time ever driving at the track. It was pretty fun, getting my *** whooped on and working on reaction times. I just have a d16y8 with 83,xxx miles and apexi exhaust and AEM CAI. My goal was just to hit the 10's haaha I know. But my best time was a 10.82 at 66mph. I was running on OE tires on my OEM 14"s. Do you all think thats where my car should be around? I wanted to get some times before I went D16Y8 Turbo.

i don't know if this will help but my best et was a 17.5 at 88 in the 1/4. i had almost the exact set-up but with an auto tranny. i have a greddy kit and the best time i ran was a 15.5 at 94 with the auto tranny. i'll see if i can find my slips for the 1/8 mile.

You suck, thats all there is to it.

It just takes practice. You could drop a few tenths and probably go mid-low 10's.

if you plan on turboing that d16 of yours...I say save that money and get yourself a b18c1 and Ill put money on it that you will beat a stock d16turbo.

LOL My best runs were what I thought were my worst runs.

B18C1 is more money, and still wont be as powerfull. WHP and Torque on Turbo D will be more.

you can definetly do better. i had pretty much the same setup except a 4-1 header and chipped p28 (before i went twin cam and sold you the intake ) and i ran a best 1/8th of 9.98 @ 69 mph. all it takes is practice.

What car do you have? I think if I was running my kumhos I woulda done a lot better but the OE tires keep spinning or if I droped it low it would bog. I ran on the outside lane everytime but once. the one time I ran on the inside once I got passed the bleachers to about 50mph i herd something really loud, even louder than B series VTEC's. It scared the crap out of me. But everyone said even on SOCHs once you get passed the bleachers VTEC screams from the noise echoing. Thanx for the intake powerban, its loud as hell lol i love it.

Nice, I thought about going b18 turbo but I think im going to go for d16 turbo.

Do you know how much less a 96-98 ex coupe weighs compared to an 99-00 ex coupe?
