There is a guy in the hybrid forum that wants to build a gsr engine on the 2k si chassis. He is looking for high 12s. He wants a daily driver and he wants it to be all motor. He also wants to keep A/C and P/S. I gave him a list of mods, tell me what you guys think and could put him at the numbers he's looking for. If not please give your opinions on a pretty strong setup. Tell me what you think of this:
Here is my opinion:
Victor X IM
Bigger injectors, fuel pump upgrade, FPR
ITR AEM CAI(V2)
JDM 4-1 header of your choice(2.5" collector)
Apexi N1 Exhaust
Test Pipe
Toda C Cams(springs and TI reatainers) and cam gears
Spoon 70mm TB(port matched with IM)
P&P head/bigger valves(port matched with IM and EM)
CTR Pistons(block guard IMO)
Eagle Rods
4.929 FD
Quaife LSD
DC Short Shifter
ACT Clutch(Xtreme PP, 4 puck disc)
JUN Chromoly lightened flywheel
A/C compressor and all lines and components removed, P/S pump and lines removed and replaced with manual steering rack, and rear spoiler removed(if there is one on your vehicle now)
gutted rear interior and spare tire removed
slicks of your choice
P28 with Hondata(conversion harness of your choice)
Fluidyne Radiator
Slotted Rotors, steel braided brake lines, brake fluid upgrade(all four just for safety reasons not added power).

you can build a 12 sec na car with a very miniscule amount of money
b18c block
stock rods
ctr pistons
stock head gasket with center layer taken out
stock b18c head
stock valves
ferrea valve springs and retainers
ctr or itr cams
skunk2 intake mani
stock throttle body
stock intake tube and box with k&n drop in
dc "jdm" header, with full 2.5 inch exhuast(take out the cat)
b&m fpr with guage
apex-i afc
chipped p28 (mugen or skunk2)
act clutch, hd 6 puck
2000 si trans or itr trans
you could prolly run 12's all day on street tires/drag radials

I don't know if that setup would run 12's. Those Si's are about as heavy as integras and I don't think any integra with those mods would be able to touch 12's. Just my opinion and I could be wrong.
I think you got the right setup Silinity16, a p&p head woud be a must I would think. The ATS FD is a good choice too. You could probably go with different cams, Toda C's just seem real agressive. Skunk2 stage 2, toba B or Jun 3 would probably all work.

I agree with you that in a civic, 12's are fessible, but its harder to believe with a full weight integra, running accessories, as well as street tires. But hell, I could be wrong, I do remember someone on the board saying that a stock block ITR with a fully built head hit I think 12.8....So it may be possible. But the first setup should be more beefier.

I seriously doubt that with that setup alone you could go 12's on drag radials/street tires in a heavy *** SI. Take it from someone who has done it before

I don't think you'll necessarily need the Fluidyne radiator either. Maybe get the del Sol VTEC dual core rad from a normal radiator place for a $150 instead of $350 from Fluidyne.

lol, a polite way to ask, hey what are you running

it might not be fesible in a "heavy *** si" but i had a similar setup in a 92 dx hatch, took out the bumpers, gutted the sound deading stuff off of the floor. i had a stock gsr computer, stock itr ex manifold, stock itr exhuast, with cat, stock intake and stock filter. it hit a 14.3@92 on 3 cyl...burnt up a spark plug...i had no tuning...just adjusted the timing alittle..and it ran very well. i think it could have possibly hit 12's on drag radials. (i think the comp was around 12.4:1, with the ctr pistons and the center layer out of the head gasket)...when i took out the cat and ran some 108 it ran extremly well. never had it to the track with it running correctly though....but id love to build another setup like my old on and have it tuned in properly ....it would rip.
