seat upholstery cleaning tips
I recently bought a set of front USDM ITR seats for my black interior swap. Right now I have the tan interior that my dog has done a number on over the years. Before I install anything, I want to clean them up but I know since the material is that Alcantara, I can't do a seat shampoo as I would a regular cloth seat. So any advice on how to go about it? Upholstery steam cleaner maybe?
1 ea. "Woolite Extra Dark Care" mixed sparingly with water.
1 ea. "Suede & Nubuck 4-way Eraser Kit."
Be extra gentle around all of the red stitching, when you use the Eraser. You will cause the red stitching to get frizzy, if you are impatient.

Okay thanks, I'll look into those. Also, there's one small spot on the driver's seat where the red stitching started to come out. Do you think an upholstery shop could take care of that?
Order some OEM red thread, part # 08u98-sap-000r1 and do it yourself.
Go to a fabric shop or hobby shop and get a "hook shaped needle". A "c-shaped" needle will work, but you might need to hold it with needle nose pliers, to control it.

How many of those red thread packs do you think I would need to completely redo both front seats? I'll probably just take care of the one spot but just curious
If you have "hog rings" and HR tool, you can remove the covers. Toss them in the washer/dryer and they will look brand new.
Did this on a set of tan Integra seats in my old car.
