wow man you do great work, i hope i can get results half as good as you do when i give it a whirl this spring. im gonna basically use the same stuff you do
Looks great but why did you use a wool pad??As you stated to me once that it's to aggressive when you detailed a car the (Integra type r).Now I see you using it.And it's not a noobish question either I'am doing detailing myself now.
You have to understand how paint works, some cars have a hard clear coat, some have a soft clear coat. The harder the clear, basically the more aggressive you have to go to get the same results as a less aggressive polish/pad on a softer clear. The pads/polish all depend on the specific car, its defects, paint color, and clear coat hardness. There are many factors that play a role in which products to use, only experience and reading A LOT can tell you which to start with. BTW, I actually used a wool pad on the type-r because it has a single-stage paint job, which is another factor I didn't mention. It all comes down to what gives the best results, without removing as much clear coat as possible, and all within the time limit/budget. Professional detailing is no easy task! haha!

Lmao, let me give you a quick rundown on paint.Reason why some paints are much harder to buff is because you let it fully cured for over a month(This applies on refreshed paintjobs).Ever notice why somebody shops that do car strickly off production use a compound for freshly cured paintjobs 3m has to levels as a perfect example???And that's a false statements about the harder the clear,The more aggressive. You're compounding a factory paint job,Which Nissan/Infiniti is single stage. And what's with the reading alot and experience can tell you what to start with. I'am not bashing you but you've alot more to learn. You try to humiliate me saying how you didn't use a wool pad on the type r and that's it's to aggressive. and I told you from the gecko, thats how alot of detailers do it with dark colored/semi faded vehicles but won't last that long. heavy clearcoat scratches. And lol on the proffesional deatiling is no easy task.It won't be a issue, you'll see me alot more on the detailing section doing some friends/customers cars. And I'll explain why I use this product it pros/Cons.Water sanding and buffing.and etc.....Please don't take this anyway a threat man I just been trying to tell you something and instead you tell me I've to learn about paint and detailing. So I'll explain it to all of Honda-tech
Lmao so I've to understand how paint works.

Whoa...lol. I never said you didnt know anything, you just asked the question like you didnt know much about polishing, so I was trying to help out. If you have all this knowledge then why were you asking me about the wool pad? What would you recommend I do? Just curious. And once again, I DID use a wool pad on the ITR. Nissan/Infiniti is single stage huh? Pretty sure it has a clear coat since I just spent over 15 hours working on one... I was in no way or fashion trying to "humiliate" you by any means. But on another note, have you ever detailed a Honda and then a Corvette? You tell me there is no difference between hardness of clear coats. Looks like we both have something to learn, huh?
Once again, when did I tell you Wool was too aggressive? I used a wool pad on the ITR. It depends on the car. And to make things clear, the Infiniti was base coat/clear coat. Black Honda/Black Vette if you want to get specific..
Also, what polish/pad would you have used for the first cutting stage?
