How To Remove Overspray from Glass
Just thought I'd share my experience....
Long story short, after my car came out of a body shop recently I noticed it had a clear overspray all over it with exception to the panel that had been repaired.
Clay bar with detailing spray took the overspray off the paint as expected, but when it came to the windows the clay bar/detail spray combo wouldn't cut it. After doing some searching I came across a posting on eHow that worked nicely.
Things needed...
clay bar
soft towels
bowl
spray bottle
white vinegar
liquid soap
water
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of White Vinegar with 2 cups cold water. In a spray bottle, mix 2oz of soap with 24oz warm water. Using a soft towel, dip it into the water/vinegar mix, ring out the excess and wiper the overspray covered glass. Then spray the water/soap mix onto the window and rub the clay bar over it. Be sure to use enough water/soap to keep it lubricated as to not scratch the glass. After rubbing the clay bar over the glass, wipe off the water/soap/vinegar residue with a soft dry towel.
This worked really well for me and I thought I'd share in case anyone else has a similar problem.
