Don't take this the wrong way as I'm not selling anything, just asking a reasonable question: Do most people use those $0.50 sockets for the eprom? The company I'm working for is using these blue ZIF things and they're really easy to swap chips. I've put a few holes in my fingers trying to get the chips out of the black sockets. I dunno if it makes any difference - I've never seen an ECU chipped by someone else.
