Whats before EF?
Ok this is the only section seeming reasonable to put this buttt, i know theres EF EG EK and EP model civics but what come before EF as for the 3-gen civic hatches and cars? Searched and could not find anything on the subject. I have a 1984 hatch just trying to see how it is classified.
"A-series" came before "EF". I've never heard them referred to as one chassis code.
I can't even remember anyone referring to first through third gens as any chassis code at all even.
Here's the ones I have for Civics. These are ALL the chassis codes for Civics, CR-Xes/del Sols, Civic 5-doors and Civic Aerodecks I've collected. They're not just US ones or Japanese ones or anything.

That list is a little flawed. My 1987 civic Si said EC3 on the vin. jdm version is an AT or properly E-AT(i think). But most people call these cars by their gen not vin. So 3rd gen. In all truth there are many people who know way much more about these cars than I do. Check out the classics section (thats were they are at) or check out redpepperracing.com (site dedicated to 1st gen crxs/3rd gen civics). You should even sell it there because you will have a lot more luck than craigslist.
It's been really difficult for me to find chassis code information from a lot of cars overseas and a lot of the older Honda models in the US even.
Thanks. I really appreciate the help.
