Icon2 Need help 87 CRX two problems. And a Question.

I have an 87 CRX. I got it for free from my buddy who screwed it up a bit. One of his drunk bastard friends was in the passenger seat and when my buddy was backing up, the passenger opened the door and it hit a trunk tire. It seems to be only minor damages but the metal surrounding the latch that ****s to the car is barely bent inwards. The latch at this point is stuck in the door shut position. Should I just dremel the damage off?

Second question, his timing belt snapped while we were driving. He replaced it, and now it will start. But it will not stay running for very long at all. What does the belt need to be adjusted at, and how do you do it?

Third question is, I have the 87 Si model. Is that obd0 or obd1.

Thanks for your replys. Sorry for the noob comments. My old CRX was carbed so no idea on the last two questions.

My 84 rex had gone through a snapped timing belt when I first bought it. Mine did the exact same thing as your's after I replaced the belt, turned out to be a bent rod. Check your rods and replace them as needed.

Can't help you on the other questions, although I'm fairly certain obd0 was only 88 to 91 honda? obd1 was even later years.
