i have a clean 1983 honda civic 1500 dx, mint condition stock, the only problem is that its been sitting for over 7 months now because the rocker arms in the head are held in place by some kind if metal wire, if someone can help me find the adjustable tappet screws or would happen to have them you would be a godsend! PLEASE HELP!!

 

I imagine the tappets used in your engine are quite common among Honda engines. I would recommend going to the wreckers and pulling some from similarly aged Hondas to see if they fit.
