Default The Kick-N-Go thread.

It is my 1974 Honda Kick-N-Go. Just purchased it and it will go with my car in about 3 weeks to get painted. It will be painted to match my CVCC. Already have the replacement decals on the way so it's going to look nice, I think.

Enjoy:

Wow, that is a pretty cool peice of history there. I'm always amused by the little things Honda has produced over the years.

Man I've been looking to buy one of those for a long time! I see them on eBay for about $100-150. Seems like a good price for a classic Honda!

^^^ Lolol, damn. Never saw that section before. My apologies. And 2ndGenGuy, I paid $45 for this one. But you're right at them running for a bit higher.

Wow sweet deal! No doubt you can probably find them for a range of prices. I was prepared to drop about $120 on one. I'd buy one in an instant for $45. Where did you pick that one up?

Thanks, fellas.

2ndGenGuy, I picked it up locally around me.

smithenhiven, I need to pick up another one as the wheels on mine, I later saw, have been swapped out for some other ones.

Yeah, I'm sure you can find a "parts" kick-n-go on ebay for cheap.

You want to hear an interesting story while we're on the subject of Kick-N-Go's. My wife and I were taking a hike through the woods one day (keep in mind, we live in an extremely rural area, where there is miles upon miles of just woods) and during our hike, she found sitting in a woods of Western PA, a three wheel kick-n-go. Mind you, it was rusted beyond repair, but it was neat none the less to find that. I would taken it with me, but it wasn't even worth the hassel of hiking it back out of the woods.

^^^ That IS a weird story, lolol. You know, I drive a semi truck Monday through Friday and I put about 1,500-2,200 miles a week on it and when I'm riding through back roads that real wooded, I often wonder what could be found if someone were to hike all through there.

I'm watching a KNG right now. That's all I want is the wheels off of it, lolol.

I have one of those as well--same color and anything. I thought it would be useful getting around the pits, but I'm waaay to big for it. Maybe if I got the "Senior" edition (which they made).

If anyone wants to take it off my hands it is definitely for sale/trade. I think I paid about $60 for it.

The Senior model wasn't that much more accommodating. It held up to 135 lbs, lolol.

Stretch, if you end up buying another KNG for parts, I would then buy the chain from your parts KNG (if you want to sell it). I need a new chain for mine, I think/hope the chain is the same size from the regular to the senior.

I've got some owner's manuals on these things, if I have time later, I'll scan some pics and post them up.

I'd be down for selling the chain to you. Like I said, I just want the wheels.

And most definitely post up the owners' manuals. That would be cool.

Thanks.

Yes, it's the same one. It's half disassembled right now, I'm about to paint it and put on the new sticker kit I have for it.

Stretch, I renamed this thread to "The Kick-N-Go Thread" since it sort of morphed into a general discussion on Kick-N-Go's.

Can anyone help with the chain routing on my Honda Kick N Go? It appears to be right according to some directions I had online, but when you press the rear kicker down it will actually go backwards and the kicker comes back up slowly. Thanks for any help! If you need pictures, let me know!
