I'm collecting parts for my '87 CRXsi restoration. I found a really nice set of side marker lights (at a YARDSALE!) The size and shape are identical to the cracked ones I currently have. But, on the clear portion of the lights, one set has two different patterns, and the other set has only one pattern. Both are Stanleys. Does anyone know why? Thanks, Mike. BTW, There are parts for these cars everywhere, you just have to look!

 

You mean corner lights? (side markers are in fenders near door,not like I'd cut into my 22 yr old plastic fenders to install them,lol),the different years used different patterns in the clear parts (some have vertical "lines",some have vertical and horizontal) I have an 87 crx dx,and a set I bought from an 84 JY donor-they're different like you describe...

 

If your talking about the clear part as BiGZ mentioned, the 84-85 have the vertical and horizontal lines, while the 86-87 are just vertical. Not sure about the interchange for mounting them, I know on the Civic hatch in those years there are problems using 84-85 corners on an 86-87 headlights and visa-versa.
