Re: (Deetz)
I based the rear shock upgrade on the fact that my gen2 handles brilliantly with adjustable rear Konis and sway bar - it can oversteer which is good for slalom work.
So pretty much as soon as I knew I could get a set of Tokicos I jumped at the opportunity.
Will have a cam setup in the car - if its any good in the end i'll post it

Did the track run, was very very wet... didnt get the camera running in the end.
Over the next two weekends, im replacing the crank seals front and rear and clutch as well. 14th July i have another track day. So hopefully i'll have it running by then.

ok, got some pics up... :
the pilots cockpit hehe
Works Begun:
The void after removal of power streering pump
How long before i got the car was the front crank seal leaking? WHO KNOWS!
Gearbox seal leaking as well
a little higher
I think the motor was rebuilt at somestage... very clean! compared to the outside.

this is new update...
after a little bit of mucking around to try and get the mounts off... i finally managed to free the engine and get it out of the bay. As you can see from the pics its super dirty in some places. The engine number stamp was so gunked up and covered it took a few good wipes to get it visible... lots and lots of cleaning both of the engine and engine bay ahead of me...
Hoist hooked up...
up up and away.... *go engine go*
dirty engine bay
dirty motor...
its confirmed... a D16A3 teg motor
more to come tomorrow as the work continues
