You won't get radio reception because we use a different "system" or uhm, frequency than they do in Japan. I think there may be an adapter out there that converts it so you can listen to US radio stations on it....
Yes it will work, you will need one of these... http://www.catronics.com.au/fmconverter.html

and as far as the plugs in the back working??? would i have to re-wire anything or add any wires in??? i've never tried to install an OEM cd player out of another year/make/model into my car before so i didnt kno the specs on it, but i appreciate that FM transmitter link..
now if i only could find out if it actually would work, thatd be awesome..

If you have a '94 and that's out of a '96 or later, then no, it won't be plug & play. You'll need the reverse harness (Metra Part Number 71-1721) and the regular wiring harness adapter for your vehicle (70-1720). Wire them together matching color to color and then it will be plug & play.
Mounting the unit, however, may require some creative engineering.

Yeah, I did that on my wagon when I put a newer (blue plugged radio) into my '95 (gray plugged) wagon. I took a normal harness you would hook up to an aftermarket radio and then got a reverse harness for the 98up Honda harness...also referred to as a "repair harness". It was all plug and play from there. Unfortunately I ran out of time to figure out how to physically mount it inside and it was just held in by the black bezel console.
I now have an Alpine h/u and couldn't be happier. (Well maybe happier with better speakers..haha)
