Default Wiring Sub for Parallel ....

I need to know if i wired the sub right for parallel. I got a JL 12w3v2, 4ohms and i'm trying to make it 2ohms for my amp. Is this how you do it? THanks

btw, the 2 wires on the right running out are to the amp.

You guys aren't looking at the picture right. There are only four wires. You are counting six CONNECTIONS. It is hooked up correctly. The link shows a perfect example.

so it is right? there are 2 wires that connect + to + and - to - and the other two on the right connect the + to the + on the amp and the - to the - on the amp. btw, the wires are indeed Phoenix Gold Quicksilver Series.

[to amp] from , as long as you have a pos. and neg. That being said, I didn't notice he had it wired that way, all I seen is it's right ,I would move the pos.[to amp] to the top [ just because ] you got it now Bass HOPE THIS HELPS >OHOH I"M STUCK ON CAPS>

On the left side, there are two wires. One pos to pos and one neg to neg. On the right side, there are two wires. One pos to amp, and one neg to amp.

In other words the four wires you say going left are the same 2 wires. Follow from one VC to the other.

But as I also said, you may have a problem useing cardboard for your subbox 94

lol, just got my car back from the shop today. Put the box in my trunk, and had to crimp some new butt plugs, but after an hour... IT SOUNDS GREAT! SOO MUCH better than my old setup with a generic box from Fry's. It actually feels like it hits harder (or maybe its cuz i haven't drove a car with a sub in it for 2 weeks), but it does hit WAAAY cleaner than before. Do you guys usually put the bass boost up on your amp all the way or middle?? I'll get some pics tomorrow hopefully.

If sub is new, take it easy for a week or two [brake in just like a new or rebuilt engin] then adjust sub amp, xover, gain, bassboost, ect., to match rest of system.94 ps. a custom box[ made for sub you are using ] will always outperform gen.boxs.
