if i was chilling in the car for about 30 min to an hour watching or playing video games in my car, would that hurt my engine since it is so long at idle?

 

Personally I hate leaving my car idleing. I think it's a waste of gas, and I heard it wasn't good for the engine. I know lots of people that don't care though.

Anyway, do you have any amps running? If you don't then I wouldn't worry about battery drain. You could probably sit there for at least 3 hours watching video or playing before you even had to worry about the battery. If you do have an amp, then you might have to think twice. Try this(if you want) Get a freind to come with you. Turn the car off and do whatever you want(listen to music, play games, watch videos) And basically time how long it takes to kill your battery, then just get a jump off your friend. Now you know how long you can go before starting the car up for a bit and re-charging.

 

i think it wont last long than 45 minutes with just the battery. i am just wondering how it can be bad for the engine when the car is at idle.....i mean in the winter i let the car warm up for 5-10min cause, so i dont see why it would be such a big deal if it is at idle, unless its like 105 degrees outside.
