in my opinion no. they are good no doubt, but are not the end all be all of subs like some people hype them up to be. For the price you could get a pair of ID maxs, which would distroy the w7 in pure output, plus would sound just as good. Is the w7 a good sub... yes, a great sub... yes, but it would get nutted on by most setups that cost the same amount of $$.
When you start trying to increase SPL by increasing excursion IMO the speaker becomes sloppy. It can not respond fast enough to a given change. The only reason you can get away with it at all, is because the frequencies are so low.
I must admit, it is a nice piece of engineering.
