Default Are viper alarms interchangeable?

Hello i currently have 2 97 civic hatchbacks. one with the viper 791xv alarm and the other one with an older viper thats not a 2 way. Are the brains interchangeable? or can even the remotes just be programed from one car to another? I would like to put the 791xv on the other car and vice versa.

on the newer viper the harness is diffrent. But you could cut the old one off and replace it with the newer one. Your really are going to have to take out the other alarm system because there are more peices to the 791 then to your older non two-way

no the alarms are not interchangable.... its best to take the entire alarm out and re do it.
