Default Viper 5902 help

So my uncles friend installed my viper today on my car for free... but he told me that he can only install it to remote start like if the car was automatic..is there anyway i can hook it up to remote start properly on my 5speed..i kno i had it working properly on my old eg 4dr with the viper 5901...any help plz

Well apparently he could not follow directions. I would pull the alarm out and make all connections that are needed for 5 speed mts. You need foot brake, hand brake and the neutral safety switch plugged in.

Might as well do it all over again, cause those alarms are designed to also to Manual cars, like STI eater said, and you also need the tach hooked up as well. The process is a little different but I would just get someone to do it that knows exactly how and what they are doing

In all honesty, it's a lot of work to hook it up in 5spd mode. I have always had a habit of putting my car into neutral when I park so automatic mode doesn't effect me. Mine is hooked up in automatic mode. As long as you make a point of making sure you're in neutral you'll be fine.

This is pretty dangerous. But to each their own I suppose. I just recently installed a Python 991 in my Civic. I only used automatic mode to test and realized the potential danger leaving it this way in a manual transmission car. If you have a 5spd, make all connections for a 5spd. It's not hard at all. What is it? Like 3 wires and a procedure you have to activate it? Do it right. Be safe.
