VAFC uninstall questions
Seeing as how you have to cut the vtec solenoid line, and route it through the VAFC...
If you just remove the VAFC side wiring harness, and leave everythign connected on the ECU side...will you not have vtec, since the line isnt connected (via circuits in VAFC) anymore

Not only that, but your engine will run like crap because the MAP sensor signal and VTM ( on some vehicles ) are also interrupted.
If you need to disconnect your V-AFC for some reason, just unplug it from the APEX harness and make sure the white and yellow are connected together ( MAP signal), and also the Pink and Violet ( Vtec Solenoid control ).
You will need to connect the Blue VTM wire back to the unconnected " Car side of the harness so the ECU can detect it.
I think APEXI should just make a jumper harness that you can just attach to the VAFC harness that will re-connect those circuits. I'm sure it wouldnt be too much to ask and they should include it in their kits.
It would come in handy when DEALERSHIPS refuse to work on the car or BLAME it on the "aftermarket" stuff.
I personally, when installing V-AFC's in customers cars.....I ditch the "bullet" style connectors that it comes with and I use my own "male" and "female" connectors.
That way, if the customer needs to restore the cut wiring back to the original state
, they can with the connectors.

Not the two mentioned above. The vafc inturrepts the signal for those, you have to specifically cut those.
Would not having those wires properly connected cause my motor to overheat when boosting? Advanced timing when the ECU sees boost or something? I only ask because my motor likes to overheat when I boost it for a while, and blow coolant into the reservoir....and Im trying to diagnose the problem.

The VAFC for Hondas interrupts 2 circuits for sure. VTEC solenoid control and MAP sensor ( the manual describes it as "Pressure")
Some may need a 3rd circuit interrupted, which is VTM ( or in other words "VTEC Oil Pressure switch)
Most U.S. Honda engines will have a VTM. A lot of JDM ones do not. It all depends on the ECU you are running.
All other connections of the VAFC can be "tapped" into the circuits without cutting them.
