im putting two 10" audiobahn dvcs 600 watt each in mah civic

the recommendation rather wide, would would anyone recommend?

at this point im rather certain i want a ported box
but my question is:
if one side is slanted does it make a difference if it's the sub side or the oposite of the sub side?

and what about this type of box? i get the feeling it sucks but is just for looks

It makes no diff. if the sub is on the angled or square surface, however to save space the angle should fit the back seat and sub should face the rear or up, port should be on same surface as sub, there should be no "obstruction" in front of the sub or port.
Yea you are correct the box probably sucks, your running 2x600W subs a 1200W sub system better have a well constructed box. 94

Re: which type of box specs? (fcm)
i didnt even think about the slant fitting with the seats
my single 10" box i tied to a rear strut bar that i bought for that purpose
i had a good few inches of unused space because of it so i dont think it's going back into my new project car

the box volume suggestion is like .65 to 2 feet for a single.
what size should i try for my two?

There are 3 possibilities, space saver, everyday and SPL... http://www.audiobahn.com/Audio...s.pdf pick one and build to their specs. 94

so it seems the more volume the better as long as you dont go over

im sorry for having to ask a sealed vs ported question but:
ported is said to be "louder",
that doesnt exactly interest me as vibration does. is ported the way to go?

Ported= louder and lower.
Sealed= cleaner tighter more accurate bass.

The above are generalizations, but for a no0b I recommend sealed, because it is easier to get right, it does not take much to be off for a ported box to sound like crap, tuning of port is critical. 94

Sealed box = Tight bass, verry accurate

Ported box = More, deep bass, less accurate, some would say sloppy. May get port noise, but this won't really matter since you have a trunk and not a hatch.

Re: which type of box specs? (JDM_Ej)
i bought a ported for my one 600w and overall i liked it
but maybe i was kidding myself when i thought it had a slight delay

im going to go for sealed for my doubles
hopefully ill still have a good step up from the ported single
