Can anyone post pics of tweeters installed in other places besides the door on a 90-93 integra? I got a phoenix gold component set and still waiting for ideas on the install. Thanks!

 

Most are installed in kick panel pods.

Some install them on the A-pillar. Or on the opposite side of the sideview mirrors.

installing them on the mirrors is a custom job. would like to see pix if there is any. i thought about kick panels but ive heard that q-logic (i think thats the brand) makes crappy ones for g2's.

 

Depends on where they're going. If they're going into the kicks metal domes are better. Anyplace else soft domes (silks) are better.

You can put soft domes in kicks but what happens is the sound stage gets higher towards the center of the car and gets lower towards the sides. This is why some people put a second set of tweeters on the pillars.

As for brands I haven't heard all brands in the Teg in all locations. In the ITR I had a set of Focal Utopias in the kicks. I've done installs with Kappa Perfects Polks and Boston Acoustics. The Kappa Perfects sounded very nice in the kicks. I couldn't judge the other two well since they went into the doors. What did sound real nice though was a set of Dynaudio 2 ways in the kicks and an extra set of MD100 tweeters on the pillars.

 

There's a company that makes mirror mounts for tweeters, though I'm not sure if they make any for Tegs. Most Toyotas have mirror mounted tweets.

All Q-logics are crappy, though they save your the trouble of aiming them (if you build them yourself). You just need to fiberglass them to make them less crappier.
