Default Turn Sigs aren't Working

I just bought a '99 Civic SI (Black). Well my turn signals don't work (Front and back). It doesn't even blink on the dashboard. Somebody at the auto parts store told me it could be due to the previous owner using it to power his stereo. Well I need help figuring out if that is the case or what else could be contributing to this. (I have already changed the fuse so that's out of the question.)

Check the emergency hazards switch, if this is unplugged or broken. The turn signals will not work at all, neither outside or on the cluster.

I would check the combination switch in the column, since it is the central control point, and with nothing working that is a good place to start. If that doesn't work, email me audiobird@hotmail.com and I can get you the troubleshooting flowchart.

I would also check the flasher unit under the dash in the fuse box (IIRC that's where they are located).

It's quite possible either that unit is toast, or a fuse its self may be bad.

check the hazard. if it works, its most likely the flasher unit. go get another one for about 7 bucks.
