Default trouble with components

i bought brand new infinity kappa 6.5 component speakers for the front of my car last year, and im pushing about 75 watts RMS to them. the passenger side speaker all of a sudden started distorting on me last week, and the drivers side is still fine.

how could this have happened? i have both of them in a foam baffle to protect them from moisture/dirt, any ideas?

WIth stereo on, pull out the speaker and see if the distortion stops. I have seen many times where the speaker is screwed down to a surface that isn't perfectly flat and warps it, causing distortion.
