Default Transponder Unit for remote starter?

Does anybody know of a remote starter interface module that works with a 1999 civic? I was about to get the Directed Electronics interface module, but it doesn't list the civic as compatible. Anyone have some input?

I'm in Canada. Does the flashing light on the steering column indicate the working security system or immobilizer?

As mentioned, your car does not have the transponder immobilizer, so no bypass module is needed.

What flashing light?
