I got this, it's smaller and easy to to use. There's no need for a one with a hub cover since I have locking lug nuts.

I just don't see the attraction to these things... What happens when a thief tries to steal your car, starts it up and tries to move the car in an attempt to break the boot. In the process, he's ruined your wheel, bumper/fender/quarter panel causing hundreds of dollars in damage.

For a few dollars, you can install a couple of kill switches that will prevent the car from even starting.

They're another layer, sure, but there are far more efficient & cheaper ways to secure a vehicle.

I like the boot in the original post but I can't afford it. For that much money, I'd rather get gps tracking. I wouldn't waste my money on the alpha lock. I have locking lug nuts also, but don't put a whole lot of faith in them. They're the kyokugen that were all the rage a while back (got them free with my wheels). That reminds me that I need to get better lock nuts. I seen a style that looks pretty difficult to get off using vice grips or the broken socket method.

I just want to layer my security where it's impossible or pointless to even attempt to steal my car. I got nrg quick release, nrg lock, viper 4way pager, clutch club(lock), kill switches, and a back up battery. I was just trying to see which wheel lock i want. The first one might be a bitch to lug around in my car and put on. I like the second one but if someone some how get your wheel off i guess they can replace it with a spare and take off. the second one also looks easy to break also.

You can put it on where ever there's space. I got it from http://www.autotechs.com when I was picking up a new DEI 565T hood lock. It was only $120, and considering I spent $140 on 2 Autolocks to replace the PedalJack that thieves broke,I feel it's worth it. The pit pull one is $2-600, that far too much to pay for one layer of security.

Just so you know, thieves did break my PedalJack in half, but they didn't get my car. That's because the bottom half was still locked to the pedals

Every time someone has tried to steal my car they've caused a few hundred dollars of damage. I'd rather come back to my car with a few hundred dollars of damage than to come back to no car at all. Also, I put it on the ground side of the direction the car has to travel first to get out.
