I think A LOT of us have systems in our tegs.. the hatch and trunk area will rattle a lot when you have a system w/ subs.. as for pix.. sorry my friend lost my digital cam..what are you planning on putting in your teg?
happy b-day by the way..

If you have a 4door teg then you will have a **** load of rattle! If you have a 2dr hatch...NO Rattle. Trust me. The **** pounds. The science of a system is air. If there is closed areas(trunk) then sound bounces and gives you that bzzzz bzzzz rattling yuck. If you have a hatch like I do then you will hear no rattle. All open so the sound can move. If you have a hatch and it rattles then you have one ghetto system.
i have a 2 door hatch.. w/ 3 JL Audio 12W6 subs powered by a PPI PC21400 amp along w/ other components.. i wouldnt consider that "ghetto" as you put it.. I do have a UC alumni license plate frame that probably doesnt help w/ the rattling... but oh wellz..

Things rattle because:
something's loose
the box isn't firmly mounted (see #1)
license plate isn't properly mounted (see #1)
bad installation (again see #1)
Open air trunks and closed air trunks have completely different tuning approaches.
Btw sound moves through metal better than it does through air.

Alright man next time you are down on the Jersey shore let me know. I'll show you the amount of power that my system is running w/ no rattling.
hey redblues, can u give me a recommendation on my system for my GSR sedan?
I have an Orion Cobalt 375 going to my compenets, and I'm looking to get a single 12" sub. I can get the JL 12" W3 for $125 with a custom enclosure built my the installer at Tweeters. I need an amp recommendation. I was going to get an Alpine MVR 100, which I believe the model number is. It was on sale for $150 from $200 but they sold out.
I asked for recommendaions from the installer and he told me to try a Kenwood amp. I can't remember the model # but it was pumping either 200 or 300 watts for $199. He said that the Kenwood amps he usually installs run to dual subs, not single ones. So which amp would you recommend for my setup?
Also, I'm concerned with how much rattle I'm going to have in the trunk. Any suggesstions besides dynamat?
