Where is the tach wire for a 97 civic ex coupe. I've heard its blue and near the distrubetor, but i need more detail. Also, does the tach wire run inside the car anywhere? I rather tap into the wire inside the car, than tapping into it in the engine and having to run it thru the firewall.

under ur dash board should be a blue wire too. but its a pain. there is alot of just blue wires unde rthe dash.. or u can take out ur gauge cluster adn tap it into the blue on there.. Or.. out in ur engine bay.. look for a blue wire with a lil black plug to it.. it should have a blue tape.. wrap to it.. onto a wire harness. its on either side.. next to the fenders.. look around u will fine it.. its one Single blue wire .. or it would just be easy to grap it right there at ur distrubitor.. cuz there is only a black and blue wire.. so just tap it into the blue wire.. either way. it will work..

 

You can grab it at the ecu or at the cruise control brain.
