Default Subwoofer, 2ohm or 4ohm?

I'm going to be purchasing one 12 in. KickerL7. I know that they're DVC. I'm going to be running it at 4 ohms. Do I buy the 2 ohms sub and wire it to be 4 ohms or do I buy the 4 ohms sub and run off only one set of voice coils?

PPI PCX-2000. Only goes down to 4 ohm mono @ 800 watts.

Depends if your amp is 1 ohm stable but don't run just 1 coil

Yea, just get the D2 and run it in series. You'll get a 4 ohm load.

What's wrong with running on only one voice coil?

If you only want to run 1 voice coil, then buy a single voice coil sub.
