Subs wont turn on
I know everything I hooked up is fine, but I have a feeling my output for my remote to the amp is out. Is this possible for it to go out and have everything else work still?? Basically all my speakers work but my subs wont come on
1 quick thing you can try is cut the remote line where it goes into the amp make its about 6 inches long then plug it into the power to jump it your amp should turn on if it does then you have selected the wrong wire as your remote! let me know if this works for you!
Ok forget what I said earlier. I found the problem I think. I tested all the wires and they seem to be fine except the rca? RCA out put went out?
Don't cut any wires. RCA's output from radio can go out. Buy a new set, run them across the car to the back. Test and if that's not it take them back. Or start here: hook up a known good speaker directly to the amp after removing the sub connections and turn down the volume LOW. If it does not work but the lights on the amp are on, then it's probably the amp. gl
The amp is still good. For some odd reason when I hook up only 1 side of the rca on the amp and then on the deck and have the other rca wire touch a ground it works.. What could be the reason for this??
