Default stereo problem...

hey guys i've been having this problem with my pioneer stereo where if I turn up to volume to 45 or higher, it will just shut off and turn back on. I have a 700 watt autotek amp and a 10" solo baric sub connected with that stereo. Can anyone help me out?

does just your sub/amp cut out or does your headunit shut off as well?

when you turn it to 45 it turns off then comes back on and continues functioning? It might be reaching a threshhold of some type and just delays while powering up.

check the gains on your amp, also check the SLA (level amplification) and turn them down...

best way to tune your system is using a real time analyzer which shows the level at different frequencies so that you can tune it with an equalizer..also shows level so you can check for clipping etc...
