Default spl meter

are there any affordable spl meters out on the market i just took my car to a spl comp and got a 146 i was wandering if there was a meter out there i could buy to tune and measure my car

Radio shack meters are about $50, but can only measure up to 130db or so. It can measure a few db higher in the bass range after calculating the mic's rolloff. There is a mod that gets them into the 140's I believe.

ya i seen those but i need something that goes above 130 sense i just got 146 but i think i can do a lot better sense i didn't get a good track picked and sense my altinater just died on me tonight i figure a new one will rase it up some too

Audio control makes one that is integrated into one of their controllers. I met some guy that had one in his car. His car was doing 160's, and the in-dash meter made it into the 150's.
