Default Spl with a lude again

here is the system that hit a 149.9 in the usaci competition. for those of you that wanted pics here are some and more are on the way.
this is the only lude i know of that is used in sound competition. in a day or two i will rip all the carpet out and start the fiberglassing of the box. any advice on the fiberglassing would be helpful. thanx and enjoy

Nice setup.

I'm about to start an audio project in my civic... I ditched my system like a year ago and I miss it more everyday...

Doing 3 15" Alpine Type Rs with a JBL 600.1 each... In a ported box... We'll see what kind of SPL numbers I get... I'm really not doing it for competition but it should be pretty decent...

i was lucky and ended up getting sponsored somewhat. so i don't have as much invested in it as you would think. the box is getting mutilated with all the carpet going. and the fiberglassing process starting.

You should be hitting WAY more than that with your set up. Who built the enclosure? Not trying to talk down on you, because it's a very nice system, but you can do WAY better than that cousin!

i must be honest with you the system was not really intended to do spl. the set up just did well. you must also realize that 149.9 is incredibly loud and i have seen systems that should be much louder only hit a 145.0db. the enclosure was built by me and some friends and is 7.6 cubic feet. I realize that the system could be louder but not by much. I am still debating a wall and two more. i just like the loudness of it. i also did not know my load Hz and could have done 150db if i burped it but seeing how it was my first comp i am very pleased.

What is your box tuned too? And what did you burp at? Did you even burp? Some people use sweeps, which will suck your alternator dry.

These can make big differences in the spl you will get. A 150 at below 40 would be a badass system. 150 with music is even more impressive The spl numbers don't mean anything in my opinion, unless it is an spl oriented system.

Gsteg, got a meter I think I can do 150 with my xxx. I have seen lots of people do 150-153 on the linearx with it. I just need to find 2400 watts somewhere.

Eclipse makes a "4000" watt amp, i'm pretty damn sure it doesn't put out that much but it retails at $1500

dude matts professional audio makes a 1200 watt rms that will definetly make your xxx beat your almighty brains out. it is the strongest and most power efficent amp i have ever seen. if you are willing to pay the price she is the one. around 1000 dollars maybe.

The new RE amps are supposed to put out 1700-1800 watts, and they are strappable. They have not released pricing yet, but I am guessing they will go for around 400.
