is there a way to fit speakers such as infinity kappa 6.5 or boston pro series 6.5 in the front doors of a 88-91 crx? i know clearance is a problem. im just wondering if theres a way to over come it?

Hmm? I have boston pro's in the rear and I could have sworn they fit in the doors?? I will try it tomorrow and see what happens.

well just an idea for ya, if you do plan on getting subs in the future then i would put some decent tweeters in the doors instead of 6.5's. im not sure if hondas come with tweeters or not, but if they do then my bad.

vinceg, i looked and didnt find anything but metal and plastic behind the seats. are you sure your talking about first gens?

OK I screwed up a little and there is a bit more to replace than in a 2nd gen CRX. I had forgotten cause one of my 1st gens already had them there. Here is the pic you can see where I circled is where the speakers go you have to remove that whole piece and replace it with the speaker piece.

thanks for the visual representation man. i talked to the guy i bought the car from and he told me something along the lines of it wont have the grills for some weird reason, but when he told me why it was more specific. ive spaced it off since then. yeah, i either gotta get my handy friend the dremel or find the panels with the grills. ill probly end up cutting the panel though and it seems to have the wires and ive already haked it up a bit for the rear strut bars...
