Default Speaker Sizes

Alright. I just bought some Infinity 6.5" speakers for my 1990 Honda Accord EX. I bought 4 of them for all the way around, and they should arrive at some point today.

Well for some reason I went and searched this forum to see if anybody asked to see what size the 90 accord EX speakers had, and when I did, I got different replys.

My question is, does anyone know for a fact that I can put 6.5" speakers up front and in back? And if they aren't that size from the factory, is there anyway of rigging them up so I can actually use them?

Any information would be great help. Thank You.

you may have to trim a bit of the OEM plastic that is behind// around the speaker.

Worst case is they are too big (deep), then you'll just have to build a spacer ring.

Thanks again

just goto a hardware store like lowes or home depot. Buy MDF sheet of wood. trace an outline of your speakers. cut out the middle so the wood only goes on the outer part of the speaker... i think its called circumfrence...(been a while since my last math class) so the wood isnt block the path of the speaker. the wood will give you more depth. hoped that helped... if not, pm and i'll help you some more.

This will make a good spacer and also your speaker will sound better since it no longer has to produce sound through a plastic mount and sheet metal door, wood is much better
