Default Speaker installation help

I had bought some 6.5 polk audio DB6501 for my 2005 civic coupe and they don't seem to fit, I have read for some speaker brands there are some modification that need to be done. Can anyone help me out?

how do they not fit? does it hit the window? sit too deep? magnet too big?
you can buy a 1" spacer if it hits the window/sits too deep depending on depth of speaker.

Ditto the above^^^ need more info, the Polk Audio DB6501 is almost a "standard" 6.5" speaker, only thing diff. is the mounting holes.

You will need to get a set of mounting adapters, [stock speaker is a "snap in"]
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/6-5-Car-Speak...item2eb75a6e73 or make your own set out of MDF, the MDF ones will sound better then the plastic ones. 94
